How Can I Get Involved?

There are many ways that you can help Dispatches meet its goal of breaking down the stigma surrounding PTSD, here are a few:

  • Come out and ride! Check the Calendar for dates, times and locations.
  • Come out and connect! Attend an event or just meet me along the way for a coffee or a chat! Check the Calendar for dates, times and locations.
  • Arrange a meeting of veterans and first responders in your community when the ride comes through. It can be formal or informal, simply Contact Us to start making arrangements! Check the Calendar for dates, times and locations.
  • Book Michael for a speaking engagement for your school, company, organization, peer support group, service club, etc. when Dispatches is in your area. Check the Calendar for dates that Dispatches will be in your community.
  • Plan a casual group ride in your area. Contact Us if you would be interested in arranging a short ride in your area when Dispatches is there. It’s all about connecting with people, what better way than on a motorcycle? Check the Calendar for dates that Dispatches will be in your community.
  • Support Dispatches with a donation, either in person, at an event or through the Donate button.
  • Help spread the word! Share Dispatches Adventure Ride with friends, family, coworkers…everyone!

How do I ride along?

Simply have a look at the events calendar for information on when the ride will be in your area and check out the active GPS tracker map on the homepage for location updates every 5 minutes, then just come out and ride if you like! There is no registration for travel days (in green) during the ride and specific events that require registration or admission fees will be indicated in red.

I don’t ride a motorcycle; can I get involved with Dispatches?
Definitely! The motorcycle is a tool for transportation and a means of connecting with people, the focus of the ride is generating open and honest conversations about mental health. Check out How Can I Get Involved to see ways that you can be a part of Dispatches!
Can I donate money to Dispatches?

Yes, you can. Simply click on the Donate button for donation details and options.

All donations are eligible for an official charitable donation receipt through Concussion Legacy Foundation Canada, registration #832454441 RR 0001.

What are donated funds used for?

Any funds donated to Dispatches Adventure Ride are used to cover the costs of travelling across Canada and include the following: fuel; accommodations; meals; scheduled and incidental maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes, etc.; consumables such as tires, lightbulbs, oil, etc.; tolls and ferry costs, service costs such as GPS tracking subscription, social media calendar, promotional costs, software subscriptions, etc.; any incidental expenses related to the ride and its outreach activities.
